Default Preset Browser FX

Hi,

are there any extensions to improve the preset browser (FX) ?
Maybe with a search engine or a clearer design?

Kind regards

There's utility called RearrangeFX by jahudka, link and short video explanation here:

But the ways you can improve it are limited. What I wish is that the FX browser window could function like a standard OS folder directory with the ability to create folders & subfolders at will, organizing as you choose. AFAIK this cannot be done, but you can, at least, hide the default folders that are of no use to you and create your own folders on one level, adding whatever plugins you like.

There is also a "smart folder" function that will pull plugins into a folder based on names, but I've never used this. I've just manually added plugs to the folders I want them to appear in.

OK thank you.

But does it work with the presets from a plugin like a softsynth?

If you mean will it save specific user configurations, not that I'm aware of. This is what track templates are for, and they do this very well. And, unlike the FX bin, track templates can be saved in an OS directory-like way, with folders, subfolders et. al organized exactly how you wish.
