Default Reaper and Palette Gear – a troublesome combination

As of now I have used the Palette and enjoyed it very much. Writing orchestral music it is essential for MIDI and CC commands. But, my Reaper DAW program crashes like never before. In just about every session it freezes and I have to start all over again. And when a shut the computer down the blue screen appears.

Yes, I did remove all drivers and tried the set up without the Palette, and everything worked like clockwork again.

So, to anyone with fresh ideas: is there anything to do?

Any ideas or information is very welcomed!

It's hard to diagnose things like this without seeing Windows' record of the crash.

- In your Start menu, search for "Event Log" and open "View event logs".

- On the left side, open the Windows Logs folder and select Application.

- Scroll down to find the events logged around the time it crashed.

- Look for one of the big red Error icons - the "Source" column should say something about an Application. Click on it.

- Below, you should see reaper.exe listed either in the error message or in the application path.

Once you've found it, copy/paste it into a post here.
