"Audio Device Closed" persisting. Win 7, ASIO, WDM, Directsound (FIXED)

I keep having this issue with Reaper where the "Audio Device Closed" status will persist, regardless of whether I switch to my ASIO soundcard (M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R), ASIO4All, or Windows Sound options like WDM or Directsound.

It appears that toggling the record arm of a track wakes it back up though?

Im using Windows 7 SP1 64 bit, Reaper 4.611, on an MSI Laptop with a 2Ghz Intel i7 2630QM CPU, 16GB RAM

i updated to 4.62 and it seems this problem hasnt happened again, hoping something in the update has sorted it. if it happens again ill post back.
