Hi Amagalma !

Don’t know why, whether I update the API or not,
Everything works fine except the vertical zoom feature.
Did I missed something ?

I’m using Mac.

Same here - on a Mac. For example, hovering the mouse over an item and running the script hides all other tracks and maximizes the horizontal zoom to the item, but vertically the track stays small at the top of the screen. Is there a way to get the script to maximize the item vertically as well, so it fills the screen?

Thanks for the great script!!

latley while I'm testing it found a few couple more bugs.
I'll just sum it up here with the old report:

Quote:
1. it can't perform vertical zoom, now is only horizonal on my side.
2. Sometimes it can never go back to the initial view.
this Script is amazing, really looking forward to the OSX compatible update

Platform:
MAC OSX High Sierra 10.13.3
Reaper 5.981
SWS/S&M: v2.10.0
js_ReaScriptAPI: v0.993
Ultraschall API: v40677.01

Hello guys!

I'll have a look at it but I cannot promise I can fix it since I do not have OSX to test...

Hi Amagalma, thx for the fix !
zoom in/out on single item is totally fine.
the rest still got some other bug to adjust.
I'll list it here with GIF so u can understand clearly

1st.
Mouse on target track couldn't zoom perfectly, compare with the item zoom at the begining of the GIF thrr's still got a long empty space at the end.

2nd.
zoom in time selection couldn't perform vertical zoom.

3rd.
zoom in region couldn't perform vertical zoom.

4th.
zoom in multi-selected item didn't just bring me the selected area, but bring me the whole track.

5th.
zoom in by region or time selection:
it didn't hide the track if that spot is empty. in this test the empty track is "bell_1"

1) I can't see the difference in the gif. They both maximize vertically correctly, with no space below. Mouse on item-> maximizes vertically and horizontally so that the item takes the whole arrange view, while mouse on track -> maximizes vertically so that track takes the whole vertical space of the arrange view.
2) It is not supposed to! Zoom in time selection (TS) zooms horizontally so that the TS takes the whole horizontal space of the arrange view.
3) Same as 2
4) If you have multiple selected items and you zoom on them then all these items will be zoomed so that the take the whole of the arrange view. In your gif you have selected the inst-piano_1.wav item, which is quite long compared to the other ones.
5) Same as two. These zoom only horizontally.

Please, read the explanation in the first page, how this script works! Thanks!

got it, sry.

The 1st GIF I thought it (mouse curser on TCP) would zoom to fit the whole window just like if I zoom on item.
I should have read the instructions more carefully on the 1st page.
My bad. Sry for being any inconvenience.

Thx for yo hard work.

I like this one, but this is what it does for me:

Vertical and Horizontal zoom of hovered, single item.
Vertical zoom of Track when hovering empty area of Track in Arrangement.
That is all.
- Doesn't zoom hovered TCP, selected TCPs, selected items, selection area, region, etc .

It is still useful though.

I'm using version 1.54, installed via Reapack (ReaTeam Scripts).

Wherever you have your mouse pointer at the moment you run the script, that is the context that will be zoomed in. If at that context there is more than one thing selected then it zooms in to these things (tracks or items). Makes sense?

Yes, that was understood.
What I was saying is that that only zooms it does are the following:

Vertical and Horizontal zoom of hovered, single item.
Vertical zoom of Track when hovering empty area of Track in Arrangement.

So, in your system, only these two from all the different modes work!?

What OS are you in? Reaper, SWS and js_ReaScriptAPI versions?

Is it possible to zoom to a section of an item that is part of the time selection? if I put the mouse over an item that intersects the time selection it ignores it and zooms to the whole item instead.

A little buggy after 6.0 update. Can't zoom into envelope lane anymore, it just includes all lanes + main track in the zoom. Sometimes doesn't respond to inputs as well.

This is likely caused by SWS 2.10 being incompatible with REAPER v6. Try updating SWS to 2.11. https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?p=2209729

This worked somewhat, but now the envelope gets cutoff at the bottom

I confirm the problem. It is caused by SWS/wol: Set selected envelope height to maximum not working as it should in v6

This v2.11 regression will be fixed in the next update (it's actually not scrolling to envelopes correctly in v5.982 and later). Test builds are here.

Default bug?

Hi, when I select an Item, Contextual Zoom doesn't zoom to it anymore (since latest Reaper versions).

It works on track selections or mouse over when nothing is selected

Is this a wanted behaviour?

thanks

Update SWS. 2.10 doesn't support REAPER 6. https://www.sws-extension.org/download/pre-release/

Will there be a release soon? I feel awkward constantly send people a link to a pre-release Or is there something else that doesn't work that way?
