Item name covering midi notes

This gets really frustrating. Name and other icons should be on their own bar.

You're right, they should be:


Preferences | Appearance | Media | "Draw labels above the item, rather than within the item"

We've had that option for years. Have you ever actually looked through all of the menus in Preferences?

Dude, you are assuming to much. I know about that setting and it doesn't suit me at all.

You said that having the name and icons inside the item gets in the way. There's an option to have them not inside the item. What's the problem?

Well with that option item name IS always under the notes, AND "in their own bar"... Eh.

You can not grab the item by grab by the name "bar" when its outside. very inconvenient. Also, is there even a way to set background throughout whole item when meta data is outside?
