Default Airplay for video window on Mac

It would be nice to have the ability to share/mirror the video window via airplay to an AppleTV.

That could likely never be in sync, unless you measure it with a hardware tool or a high fps camera. Then set the right latency for live playback in the video prefs.

This is a very bad idea with technology at the current level.

Default Currently on airplay

I thought the same thing but I wired up a last gen AppleTV 3 to the gigabit router as a "separate display" for instances when I need video to play on an AppleTV.

I measured the delay between the TC burn-in & the transport with a high speed camera to be < 1 frame. I was quite surprised by it. Now, There's obvious lag with 60hz material like a mouse but 24 & 23.976 is perfectly watchable.

The ability to send the video window directly to the AppleTV may or may not be different, I'm not sure, just seems like cutting out the middle part of adding AppleTV as another display thus preventing other windows from get stuck behind a full screen video would be nice.

Not an essential feature but if it were quick add for developers..... why not.

I don't use Macs, but I would naively guess, that you could use the "second-monitor"-option and put put the video-window on that.
There should be a chance to bring the seconds monitor to AirPlay, but don't know that for sure...

Default appletv

It does play as a separate display, in my set up its the 4th monitor which I can turn on when needed.... I like to leave the news on as I'm working because it's nice to know other humans still exist.

the issue with using it as a 4th monitor is windows can sometimes appear behind the video. So you'll call up a window or setting & it doesn't appear because its behind the video window.

The other nice thing is that it automatically appears as full screen & the mouse pointer can never go to that screen.

Again, it's a very minor request. Not that big of a deal, but nice to have.

Hmm..sounds like a better feature request would be to give some kind of API-access to video in Reaper, so people can develop stuff like your request by themselves...
