Default MIdi knobs

Hallo, i'd like to know if is it possible to control any knob\parameter of any plugin via midi notes;
i found this example,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5Df...kSibX&index=38

but it uses ADSR to control a synth.

thanks

Hello trinita and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information. Make sure that you:
I think that that control is done by MIDI CC messages, not by MIDI notes.

If control by MIDI CC messages is what you are looking for, then
-- all plug-in parameters can be controlled by MIDI CC messages using Reaper's Automation
-- for some plug-ins, the GUi may have some controls that are not plug-in parameters, those cannot be controlled,
-- for some plug-ins, the devloper has implemented a system of controlling it directly using MIDI CC messages, with no need for Reaper's Automation.
-- for a few plug-ins, MIDI Notes can be used to control some of the controls

Here's a thread about both methods:
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=180970

Can you post a few specifics - which plug-ins and which controls? What MIDi controller do you have. Then some users of those products can give you more focussed guidance.

thanks for your answer...i'll specify better what i mean:

i want to control a parameter of a plugin, e.g. the gain of a band of an equalizer, by midi note editor (not by external controller, or midi cc);

my goal is to change eq setting depending on pitch note, so low notes sounds different from higher notes;

it's the same job you could do thanks to envelope follower, but in this case it's volume depending, while i want pitch depending;

Melda Production allow this method, obviously only with his products:-)

I thought you meant MIDI CC controls as that is what the video referred too (but I did not watch it all).

And, yes, MeldaProduction plug-ins can use MIDI notes for some automation; which is why I said "for a few plug-ins, MIDI Notes can be used to control some of the controls".

I've just found these

And this could be what you want:

(with iLok protection )

Yes...this is what i was looking for...

http://thepiz.org/plugins/?p=pizmidi

midiNotesToCC - Converts note number and velocity to CC messages

than simply assign a midi cc via reaper parameter modulation to target knob you want to control...

just made a quick test..it works...

thank you so much my friend:-)
