Reliable interface for Windows 10?
I am now totally fed up with my Line6 TonePort UX1 and its frequent crashing. I need a new piece of hardware, because Line6 has not been able to provide a working driver.
What would be the most reliable interface with the most stable Windows drivers? Or which brand has the best reputation when it comes to willingness and ability to fix reliability problems?
Soundqualitywise Line6 is ok, I don't need anything better. One mic and one instrument input is enough.
I'm planning to use PodFarm for recording, as it gives zero latency monitoring of processed sound. I would assume that hardware latency would not be an issue. Please, correct me if I'm assuming too much.
What I need, is an audio interface that will not crash every day requiring a complete computer reboot to revive. Are there any?

I would recommend RME interfaces - not cheap but excellent quality pre-amps/DSP and solid as a rock. Also very low latency because they develop and maintain their own ASIO driver software.

On the less expensive, but still very good, side, check out the Tascam US-2x2. It's just over €100 at Thomann.de. I have the US-16x08. The driver has been very stable for me under Win10. There was a recent update for Fall Creator's Edition compatibility. Although the US-2x2 can be USB-powered, I would recommend picking up the appropriate power supply if you plan to use a mic that requires +48VDC phantom power.

I'll add another vote for RME. My Fireface UFX has been one of the best investments I've made for my studio.

My budget did not cover RME.
I ended up with Roland Rubix 22. A known music equipment brand and the latest hardware promising low latency (and delivering also).
So far so good. Only one crash during the first week.
