Default Weird Phasing when Monitoring

Hi,

I'm having weird phasing issues when monitoring some midi tracks that I cannot explain. I've checked all my hardware routing. It's not consistent. It seems to happen specifically with EWQL Play 6. Restarting my PC resolve the issue temporarily and if I record the midi instrument, it plays back fine without phasing. Maybe I'm accidentally triggering some key command that messes up something.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Any thoughts?

How are you monitoring? Direct to headphones?

My thought when first to having a microphone in the room and an armed track that is picking up the mic.. which is picking up your speakers.

Or you may have EWQL outputting to multiple tracks and one of them is delayed. Check your routing

It's not phasing on all tracks and not on audio track. midi vst instruments tracks only.

Wrong forum for this...

Check your midi routing in the project. Everytime this has happened to me it was due to the midi notes getting doubled, triggering the same samples in rapid succession.

This can happen if you have 2 VSTis triggered by the same midi, and/or midi routed to a single VSTi/synth in such a way the midi gets duplicated with a tiny delay between them. This is easy to do if you are routing midi between tracks and forget you already had one send and add another somewhere else (for example, sending midi from a child track, then sending the same midi again from the parent folder track).

Thanks, I'll be careful and stay alert but rebooting is fixing it so it's hard to explain so far.
