Default Media Explorer varispeed pitch

The pitch in media explorer is a great option and I love that the pitch transfers to the timeline when "spotting".

I'd love another knob that also does varispeed pitch, or specifically playback rate with "preserve pitch when changing rate" OFF. And this state also should "spot" to the timeline as well.

This is for sound effect design purposes, at least for me.

Cool.

PS: And to hijack this request, please add a "reverse" option as well.

Yes sir, I’d use this, because I always use this in my sound librarian Soundminer HD+, and Reapers media explorer is awesome.

If varipitched, dragging imports with thatplayrate set.

There are two knobs in the media explorer, one for pitch and one for rate. Isn't that what is being requested here?

I am wondering the same thing, isn't the rate knob just this?

Regarding its implementation however I want to point out, that disabling "Preserve pitch when tempo-matching or changing play rate" doesn't stick when importing the file into Reaper. That's not really intuitive as the file sounds different on import than during auditioning and it requires the user to uncheck "Preserve pitch when changing rate" under Media Item Properties after import to achieve the desired sound. IMO it should by default follow the option chosen in the MX.

Ah, the option is respected when the media is imported via action or double-clicking, but not when dragging it into the project.
