Default Inject Time Code to an item file

Hello,
I am recording with two different devices at the exactly at the same moment, the first recorder has Time Code capabilities, the second one has no TC.
I then import the first one to its original time position via the action:

Item: move to source preferred position (used by BWF)

Then once imported the second one and synchronized, I would like to inject the starting Time Code of that item into the metadata of the item's file.
Could anyone help me to build a script that could do that, please?

Many thanks in advance.

I think if you simply glue this item then the new glued file will have the timecode embedded.

Thanks,
handy to know.
I just tried to glue on on the go but I got an error message.
Would someone help me to achieve that without the need to create a new file, please?

I have a script pack to inject BWF from reaper without renderbusibg BWFMetaEdit CLI

https://www.extremraym.com/en/downlo...-bwf-metadata/

Timecode injection seems possible but I didnt add wildcard to write it directly to convert item pos into BWF timecode. Maybe it could be added though. At least you can manually add it if you know the format expected.

Hi guys,
thanks for your answers.
Yes, I use BWFmetaedit on a daily basis for many years now and it improved a lot since Jerome started working independently from FADG, he is a very nice and helpful guy, very responsive to sort out bugs and requests.
I am investigating a way to minimize processes, to save a gigantic amount of time when back home every day with hundreds of files to sync, hence I was asking about a quick way to do it directly in Reaper.
I am still evaluating it, to see if I can leave behind the many software I am using today and if I will make the right decision the BTW Metadata pack will be surely the first thing I will invest into.
X-Raym, is it too complex to insert that function in your ReaScript?

Many thanks.

@lamacchiacosta
It should be ok, I'll investigate, can a wildcard $pos to inject pos to selected items based on their timecode in arrange view works for you ? (should be the same as the source item if they have the same position after sync)
