Default Feature Requests

Also, here's a suggestion which might help:

* Give your Request a meaningful title and summary
Use a few descriptive words for a thread title and add a "1-line" summary of the request.

* Request
Describe the new feature that you are requesting. (No novels please ).

* Benefit
Explain why and how this new feature will benefit users; not examples of use but what we will get out of it. The bigger the benefit, the more the developers will consider the requet, I hope.

* Reason
Explain any problems / issues currently encountered without this feature.

* Implementation Suggestion
Describe any implementation ideas that you have. Includes screenshots, mock-ups or videos if they help. The management reserve the right to ignore this section completely.

I suggest that this thread always be at the top of the forum and be highlighted in some way, so people will usually find it where they come here. If possible. And rewrite those posts up there. You can do better with the BBCode commands.

For example.

Also, here's a suggestion which might help, especially for the Issue Tracker:

  • Give your Request a meaningful title and summary
    Use a few descriptive words for a thread title and add a "1-line" summary of the request.
  • Request
    Describe the new feature that you are requesting. (No novels please ).
  • Benefit
    Explain why and how this new feature will benefit users; not examples of use but what we will get out of it. The bigger the benefit, the more the developers will consider the requet, I hope.
  • Reason
    Explain any problems / issues currently encountered without this feature.
  • Implementation Suggestion
    Describe any implementation ideas that you have. Includes screenshots, mock-ups or videos if they help. The management reserve the right to ignore this section completely.

Here is an example:

Default Use the forum Poll feature

Now that the Issue Tracker has been deprecated, I suggest that when you raise an FR, you select the check-box to add a poll to the thread.

Important: you must do this when you create the thread; it cannot be added later.

Suggestions for the poll question and choices:

This thread is only created for instruction. You should not use it to post your FR. Create your own thread.

I tried to give my 5 cents on this making this tutorial.

The reason: many ppl are writing just 2 lines in socials thinking "it's the way to do"
But developers are here, and just "2 lines" are not sufficient of course.

Default REAMOTE PLUGIN

Being Reaper no longer has Reamote built into the system, is it possible to come up with a plugin (i.e. Audiogridder) that can work with Reamote Server on another (or more) computer(s) on a network?

reamote is built. Just remember to install it when you install Reaper. If you haven't: just download Reaper, repeat the installation and select it. That's it

Since v7.0 release, the ReaMote is no longer included = has been removed.

Yes, it should be made into a plugin (Audiogridder) to connect to a version of Reaper Server on another computer.

Indeed I would prefer something native rather than 3rd party stuff.

Default feature request

HIDE UNARMED ENVELOPES.

There's no straight feature to do this in actions

Working with to many envelopes? Track and FX and Send envelopes can't be visually separated without a long winded method that's in efficient

I'm trying to keep track/FX/Send envelopes separate in view
