Please remember that there is (at least) one Region bug still remaining:

The RPP, based on FnA's report, is attached.
EDIT: To avoid the problem, the small change must be made *to the left* of the region. If the change is made to the right of the region, the problem will still occur.

The significant changes demanded a .08 increase.

We just updated the builds with some very slight bugfixes (certain instances where the tempo envelope wouldn't appear on its own, arrange not updating with volume/pan envelope range changed via prefs, some behaviors with obscure mouse mapping settings, and (the reason for the update) one of the default mouse mappings fixed).

Nice update!
I see there has been some work on plugin scanning for DX plugins.
Can please take a look at VST scanning aswell. On every single install I have done this has never worked without hiccups. My last computer/reaper wouldnt fine SoundToys crystalizer, with my currect new build I cant get some slate plugins to be scanned.
Only way is to try and find working lines (from previous installs) in the ini files to copy paste. Would be GREAT if this can be sorted out, its kind of a pita!

Other than with DX there is no standard way for a DAW to find VSTs. They can be installed anywhere.

Sure, but I am talking about when reaper fails to scan plugins inside folders that are being scanned.

Me neither despite trying all sorts of stuff to pin this problem down Anyway we should continue this in the thread in bugs rather than clutter the pre forum up.

Lot's of great improvements!
But we will never stop complaining.
Another thing that someone brought up earlier that I agreed with was that splitting items at the source region was undesirable when COPYING it. It's easy enough to do if it was desired.

The "Categories" and "Developers" folders in Plugin selection are just nice (see Kennie's Video).
IMHO it would be very appropriate to automatically add the JSFX plugins her, as well.
For automatic qualification, a "desc:" tag is always available with these.
ReaPack additionally defines an "author:" tag, and sorts the files in appropriate category folders such as "Midi", Synth", "Utility", ...
With that, ReaPack shows a great plugin selection user interface (for plugins provided by ReaPack, even if not locally installed).
So it would be great if the powers behind Reaper and ReaPack would work together to synchronize these sorting mechanisms and provide them for all plugins, as well locally installed (stock and user additions) as available via the ReaPack repositories.
Regarding an even more advanced user interface, a plugin's ReaPack "about" tag (MarkDown notation) might be shown in the plugin selection (e.g. via right click) (at best same also with plugins instantiated in the FX section of a track).
A best, on the long run, the stock JSFXes should be provided with appropriate tags for "author", "category" and "about".
