python help, please?
just getting started, wanting to try something using reascript. used the
quickstart wiki. downloaded and installed python 3.3 but, when i run the
documentation action, as described in the wiki, i get a message at the
top of the documentation page that no compatible version of python was
found. after manually pointing reaper, via the preferences page for
reascript, to several folders (just out of frustration), i always got the
same error. uninstalled python and tried again with python v2.7 but got the
same messages. python installed into c:\python33 and python27, respectively
when i tried all of this. i did NOT have both versions on the system at the
same time. what did i miss? fwiw, i run my system with admin and limited
user accounts. i used the admin account to install python in all instances
and, when prompted, selected to install for all users. i run reaper from
the limited user account which is where i got the messages. also, i tried
restarting reaper, as suggested in the wiki. also tried rebooting completely.
always the same message about no compatible version of python being found.
edit: just got curious and ran reaper from the admin account and it DID
find the python install. ok. how do i get it to work from the account i
actually use for reaper, the limited user account?
thanks,
BabaG
