It does not, you cant import the Korg kontrol edit file to a nanoKONTROL2.
Im still looking for the same thing to V2, please let me know if you have found something.
Im also working out a map myself but I have no idea on how to use the cycle, track or marker keys. rest of it works .

i just got mine today from ups, and i set the control enable in midi under reaper, set the midi out, and also set control device to Mackie Control, the knob works on the pan,. but it is reading the left as right, and the right as left. also the play, stop, transport controls dont work with reaper, and faders dont work etc. trying to figure out how to set this using CC messages, which it seems it is on, but other than the pan shifting the controls backwards(it overshoots the pan toggle markings , very sensitive) it isnt reading the pan with reaper very accurately. hopefully i can get some help setting up NanoKontrol 2.

Default Nnaokontrol issues for reaper

Hi I was reading this thread for nanokontrol and I loaded the nanokontrol zip file into the korg editor but I do not see any button named write scene/set. Am I missing something? also the action import does not load the keymap for the nano kontrol in reaper. Can anyone help.
Thanks.

Check out the guide to using within Sonar posted here, also there are some good notes that come with the Korg Editor.

Default First Nanokontrol was better

I've had a nanoKontrol2 for some time; I just bought one of the original version of the nanoKontrol. I think that the older version is the better one: it has nine faders with pots and buttons instead of eight (although there are only two buttons per fader, not three), and it can hold four separate "scenes" at one time, for the equivalent of 36 faders. I had intended to use them both as control surfaces with Reaper, one for the track volume/pan/solo/mute, and the other for the FX's. I've set things up, but haven't recorded anything to mix yet.

The nanoKontol editor can be set to work with version 1 or version 2. In version 1, "write scene data" and "receive scene data" are used to write what's in the editor into the hardware and vice versa. (Remember to close Reaper before trying to do so.) Use "Edit --> Preferences" to connect to the right Kontrol.

Since they're so cheap, I'll probably put the nanoKontrol2 away without feeling too much regret.

I now have 2 MK1 Nanokontrols and a Nanopad and love all the extra space it created after I sold the BCF/BCR combination I had before.

I have been wondering what to do when one of the kontrols dies - are the Mk2 nearly as good?

Holy crap, I just followed these instructions, and it works!

The only issue I'm having is that on slider 9, the mute and solo buttons are not sticking. In other words, they work, but I have to hold them down. Once I release them, they revert back. All the other channels work as they should though.

I'm guessing this is a toggle/momentary adjustment I can make? Although, I have no idea how to do this. If anyone could point me in the right direction, that'd be awesome.

Korg is really knocking it out of the park these days, with this thing (I have the original nanokontrol) and the Volca Keys and all. Can't believe this thing was only $30!!!! No more mixing with a mouse!

Default My step-by-step per Axel F instructions

I had to rebuild my Win 7 DAW which meant getting Nano Kontrol back up. Axel F saved my life the first time but I forgot how to redo this setup. I had to document this process myself and came up with the following if it might help someone.

http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=29054
https://stash.reaper.fm/v/7589/nanokontrol.zip

1. Install Korg Nano driver and Korg Kontrol Editor Software.
2. Open Reaper and go to Options/Preferences (Ctrl P).
3. In Preferences, go to Audio/MIDI devices.
4. Double-click Nano in MIDI inputs and check both ‘enable’ boxes, Hit OK.
5. Double-click Nano in MIDI outputs and check the ‘enable’ box, Hit OK.
6. Visit above URLs and download nanokontrol.zip file. Extract zip.
7. Two files are present: scene set (.nktrl_set) and key map (.reaperkeymap)
8. Load scene set file into Nano via Kontrol Editor
a. Open Kontrol Editor and select File/Open/nano_reaper.nktrl_set
b. Click Communications/Write Scene Set/OK
9. Open Reaper, go to Actions/Show Action List, click Import. Locate and import nano1.ReaperKeyMap
10. If necessary, close/open Reaper and repeat steps 4 and 5.

Default AkeW's Changes for all Four Scenes

Just nailed an original NanoKontrol for $10 from GC. Thanks all for this work. I liked AkeW's changes and fleshed them out for tracks 11-39. I also swapped the Solo/Mute button assignments so they agree visually with my Reaper Mixer's UI. Having done the grunt work I figured I may as well share it.

Thank you jweite and others - I had one of these nanoKONTROL pieces sitting around barely used - I appreciate the fact that you shared your setup and it works!

Nice to have some knobs, eh?

Would still be interesting to know how well the Nanokontrol2 works with reaper, just in case either of my NK1s dies on me.

Default Korg Nanokontrol 1 Install

A bump, since there have been a few people hunting for this stuff recently. FWIW all 3 of my Mk1 Nanos are still working just fine.
