Default midi editor guide line

Hello

is there a way to hide the green guide line that appears in the midi editor ?
What is is used for anyways ?

That's the pitch cursor - it lets you know on which pitch certain actions will act. You could change its color (search the action list for theme tweak) so it resembles the piano roll lines so it looks hidden, but functionally, you can't really hide it because what it represents is used by the program.
