presets names begin with “insert” and “sink”. What’s it mean?

Looking through the ReaEQ presets:
What do the “insert” and “Sink” mean?

Does “Send”, mean that it’s for use in sends/returns?
Does “Insert” means it’s intended to be used directly on the track, and added as it’s being recorded?
What does “sink” mean?

Presets for ReaXcomp has “griz”…which I assume is the handle of the person creating the preset, correct?
