Default LIVE VIDEO in Reaper. What are best practises?

I want to use reaper to accompany a audio track and vsts in a live situation. What are the best settings for that?
Video is 720px quality and mp4.
It should be used with a fullscreen beamer.
What are the best performance settings?

Are you going to use Reaper only for video? Or video and audio? VST instruments? You should use the most efficient codec. The one that uses less CPU on your computer. MP4 usually uses more CPU than others, but it all depends on your setup, resolution, etc

Tell me if you find this bug:
Top pin button on top of video at full screen

Thx for your help
Yes, video and audio with vsts, low cpu (synth 1).
What codecs use the least cpu? AVI?
Pitty is that the filesize is so big then?

I didn't see that bug yet? I tried video and it's no prob?
I have 2 screens.

UPDATE:
I have it also !

The whole thing sounds "risky" to me... Is this for something "critical"?

Computers are the least reliable things we own!!! A guitar amplifier or microphone can last a lifetime with no major problems, but we all have computer problems once in awhile.

Do you have a back-up computer you can swap-in?

And with something as flexible/configurable as a DAW, there's lots of opportunity for something to get fouled-up. Some people use REAPER for live performances, but if I'm doing anything live with a computer, I have a backup.

If the computer goes flaky, will that stop the whole show or will it just shut-down some audio/video effects?

Is it a big deal if the whole show get's shut down? ...Sometimes you have an hourly, daily, or weekly show and it's no big deal if you miss one show. Other times it's the "end of the world" if technical difficulties shut-down the show.

It's a big deal, since my whole show is running on 1 laptop! audio + synth + video !!!
