Default Does get_action_context() slow down the speed of script?

I made this little script to nudge edit cursor by 1 frame via mouse wheel, and I think it's handy for me.

Code:
local _1 ,_2 , _3 , _4 , _5 ,_6 ,val = reaper.get_action_context()

if val>0 then

  reaper.ApplyNudge(0,0,6,18,1,0,0)

else

  reaper.ApplyNudge(0,0,6,18,1,1,0)

end
But today I found it was obviously slower than using the build in nudge settings. When I used my script, from the moment I scroll the mousewheel, to the edit cursor stated to nudge, there was 0.x second delay. That made everything awful. Any idea to improve this script and make it faster?
