Default Recall original MIDI Item?

Is there a way to recall your original MIDI recording on a track?

I recorded a track with MIDI, then "Apply track FX to items as new take"
this printed the MIDI clip to an audio file.
I then "Cropped to active take"

My problem is that I cant seem to find an option that recalls the original MIDI recording clip. I was looking for an option such as "restore original take"..or something like that. I would like to go back and modify the MIDI recording without recording it all over again.

Also, since then I have cleaned the project library. I hope its not lost in the ether. Any help would be a appreciated.

The "Crop to active take" will have deleted the original (recorded) take.

If you have a back-up file of the project you might find the recorded clip in there, before you did the Crop.

Your statement seems to be true. I have been experimenting with this and have not, so far, found a way to recall the original item.
