Default Multi Clipboard?

Can someone think of a clipboard that can store different items and assign them all to keys to paste back into reaper?

Dang, also looking for something similar but shapeshifter indeed doesn't install on XP (just tested).
Anything similar for XP ?

Not sure. Might be worth a shot e-mailing the devs if porting this to XP is possible in some way.

Hm, no chance I think.

from dev's page;
"It is a general policy that we do not develop programs for Windows operating systems with a core version number of 5 or lower, since such operating systems limit when developing new technologies."

Thanks anyway.

I wonder if you could do the same thing with a custom action, but using dedicated tracks as virtual clipboards. Put drum sample item(s) on track 10-20 for example. Then make a custom action which selects all items on track number 10, copies them and pastes them to current position.

here's the commands anyhow

1) Store 8 levels of volume of 5 stereo tracks with 5 random for each (8 "sets")

2) Store a set of keystrokes for each volume level

3) Store the 8 sets and keystrokes as a "drum"

4) load/save "drums"

5) Each time a reserved keystroke is pressed, a new set of the drum will be placed at the cursor, depending on the volume assigned to the key. It will always place the next sample up from the last sample of that volume which was placed, until it reaches the last sample, at which point it will start over from the first set

not really. afaik Kontakt is MIDI triggered sample player - this is more like an inline sample player, right on the Timeline. for drum replacing and such.

Reabins did something like this but not multiple items I don't think. Also sws allow storing and recalling of track templates which can include multiple items on multiple tracks but not what you want really
