of course
I think I've done everything ok. Got to be careful when working with the chunk data - but I've kept all guids consistent when replacing them - ensuring that matching guids remain matching etc. Receives (and thus sends) are all updated accordingly. Even all track data should be saved with the chunk data - so any envelopes/items etc should also recall correctly (if you chose to have any saved with the set). Folders recall correctly etc.

Did it crash during loading the new set - or just when deleting the tracks?

Would be useful to see exactly what you're doing - with regards to where the tracks are and what sends are on them etc.
If you know how to repeat it - I have done a quick fix - just not entirely sure what the effects will be...
Would you first be able to make a gif - and then try the update I'm about to post and see if it still happens. If it doesn't - can you please check that everything else seems in order (sends particularly - as it was the checking sends code that caused the error).
Thanks,

I managed to recreate the error - and have done some analysis - and apart from a function being called twice - first time failing when a track has been deleted (hence error) - second succeeding - all seems good. This is expected behaviour as the script reorders everything - but obviously - I needed to catch the error.
not quite sure why the function is being run twice all the time though - even in the case when it succeeds the first time. I'll look into that - maybe able to improve performance when changing track - not that this is really a big issue at the moment.

No worries - likewise I have a long long day starting around 8:30am - finishing aroung 10pm... Should be fun - battling a load of teenagers wanting their guitars all turned to 11!! And some drummers who like to try and make holes in the drum skins...
Probably be a little more deaf by tomorrow night.

did you make the performance turbo in this update?
or removed auto save while switching between to live/edit modes?
there was a little wait time before... now its switches almost instantly
god! also save strip (big button save) was turbo-ed!

what do you mean? A bit confused by this as it suggests you're typing in the actual code for running the script somewhere - when Stripper will do this all for you...
I've just tested choosing that action from the action list within stripper and is working fine.
Have you followed the instructions a few pages back regarding setting up the action lists? see:
http://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php...postcount=1125
then follow Timbral's GIF to set up a button with the action:
http://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php...postcount=1174
obviously filter on 'FX OFF' or similar to find the action...
Let me know if this helps. Would be interested to hear what you're doing currently to get the error you've posted (so I can try and capture it maybe and prevent the error in future).
Thanks,
L.

OK ... playing with the idea of toggling an EFX On/Off-Line.
I've got it working using the LBX Action Trigger ... but I'm seeing a limitation, or I'm using the wrong concept.
When looking through the SWS actions, I see only up to 8 FX that can be toggled. I need much more than that to accomplish what I'd want to do.
So ... Is there a direct way [from LBX] to assign an ON/OFF-Line action that is tied specifically to an FX plugin ? Regardless where it is in the chain ??
This is a different way for me to think about doing this, and likely, I missing the logic to the best way to approach a solution.
Opened to learn ... Thank-You

if it's a specific plugin - drag the bypass param from the fx param list? That's how I would target a specific fx. no need for action.
If this is part of a control surface type thing - where you don't know what plugins are in the chain as they are added after the stripper has been set up - is there an action to toggle bypass of last touched fx? not sure...

not that i'm aware of... ?! slightly odd - is everything working ok still?
I guess there's a chance if you have imported into new projects that the save data is tidier - and quicker?

For the ON/OFF-line ... the plugin would be for NEBULA.
I've been using the BYPASS [plugin] parameter already ... but the question is to take it to the next level ....
Basically, a typical NEBULA chain can involve quite a few instances. LBX offers the ability to control many, and in fact, the ability to build a multi-complex chain combination.
These complex chains can take quite some loading time as one part ... plus, all aspects of the chain might not be needed for a given session.
Even though I run a new system [i7-5820k], I'm planning out how to best approach my building of a mastering chain. Being able to toggle a specific NEB plug-in ON/OFF-line would open a very flexible design. We could easily be looking at 30 or 40 main plugins ...
The SMS only shows control for the first 8 FX slots ... so that won't do.
There is a 'Last touched' action that might hold possibilities [i think].
If so ... the question, how to do this elegantly.
A first idea ... I have a toggle switch that links to BYPASS. Would it be possible to also link that switch [or button] to a secondary Action that would toggle ON/OFF-Line ? It would not need the BYPASS, but only using that as an example.
Just throwing an idea out into the unknown, looking at any possible solution.
???
thanks to anyone with ideas

Still a little confused as to what you require. I'm guessing 30-40 bypass switches is not what you're after. Do you require a way of switching on and off a specific set of nebula instances?
If so - you may wish to wait for the macro controls... This will be a control that can be assigned to more than one parameter - so turning a knob would actually alter several parameters at once - each with it's own range of change...
A macro button - could toggle the state of many fx parameters at once etc. (all chosen and set up by the user).
I plan to work on this soon - it's been on the cards right from the beginning but has been on hold since many other requests have taken higher priority as I have prioritized getting the basics out of the way first.
Now with strip set saving out of the way (well - a few minor adjustments are likely to come - but it's working) - and a variety of different control types available that cover most basic requirements - I'm starting to think of the macro control type more.
At the moment - other than writing a dedicated script to toggle the bypass state of your plugins at once - and triggering via an action button - I'm not sure there is any easy way to do as you require.
So macro controls will hopefully be coming soon...

Another thought - if you are in a new project with yours loaded - perhaps all the envelope point data from your meters (when you recorded automation) - has now been removed from the project - thus making memory updates (like saving strip data) somewhat quicker...
That's perhaps my main conclusion (without being able to check).
Perhaps your rpp file was just clogged with data!! Now you've just got the data for your strip in the rpp file.
You can probably check this by doing some more automation recording with the meters on - and seeing if it slows down somewhat.
I've certainly not changed the ways in which my script handles greatly - a few little tweaks here and there but not specifically to the saving.
Have you switched follow selected track off - in order to use more than one script at once?? be interested if that makes a big difference (don't think it will - as it doesn't do much processing unless you are deleting tracks a lot)...
Can you compare your old rpp project size with the new one? Of course I am assuming you are using your strip in a new project for this conclusion.
Also - can you check if your controls all seem to be working ok? (should be - just to be sure )
EDIT: I don't expect any problems - just wondering...

@RJHollins,
So I here you'd like to take it to the next level.
Well you're in luck!
Here is what to do, look for the S&M.ini located in REAPER's main dir., and open it in a txt editor. Find the section [NbOfActions] and in this section you should see various entries labeled S&M_FXBYP with an =8. Look to the right and there is a short description of what each one does., just increase the =8 to how many ever you're going to need and save the .ini. Restart REAPER and you should now have more listed in the actions list.
Cheers!

Ah yes - your snapshots I'm guessing they will take a bit of time to save. Makes me think - there's little point saving the snapshots each time you switch from edit mode. I might have a play with the saving at some point - it's a bit brutal at the moment - saving everything whenever you change from edit to live mode - when really it only needs the layout saving. I could make the snapshots save when you create them - but just the new one... that would be much quicker saving 1 500x control snapshot than say 20 or 50 each time... Will see what I can do there...
I survived the rock kids - and if anything - most of the drummer's were too light on the drums - a bit tippy tappy - lacking the real bite and snap on the snare that I prefer... and we lost a guitar amp halfway through (probably cabling rather than the amp - but no time to fix during the show) - but other than that - all good

I have already given you my resources to do it. Did you find it ?
with little more details: Makes a screen capture, import it into gimp to create your funds. Look for knobman tutorials (it's very simple) and make you buttons and knobs. It's not rocket science, but it's a little long.

load set allows you to load a set but it needs it's own strip set slot (or will overwrite the current one).
Merge set will allow you to load the set alongside the current set. So all strips appear alongside eachother on the different tracks.
basically - create a set. now load it into a new project. change to strip set 2 - load it again. See how the different loaded sets are in separate sets.
Now start a new project - load the set again. Now use the merge set to load the set again. Notice how the controls appear in the same set... If you were to load that set but not merge it - it would remove the originals controls in this case...
I'm not good at describing stuff - i need to learn to create gifs Is there any free software to do capture and generate gifs?
