Default selecting high numbered tracks and things

not sure if this is a scripting question but it's prompted by a limitation i ran into with actions.

i work with templates that have more than a hundred tracks. i also work with reasurround. both of these things have put me up against actions limitations in scripting. there are actions to select tracks up to 99 but not beyond. what would be a good way to select, say, tracks 106 through 116?

similarly, reasurround employs a lot of envelopes for the simplest position automation. 5.1 can put up over ten envelopes itself. adding eq and such takes the count higher. there are actions that address selection of fx envelopes 1-10 but not beyond. how might one best select envelopes beyond 10?

thanks,
BabaG

Hi babag,

If you have SWS Extensions installed, you could use ReaConsole.
Use the key 'c' (default mapping) to bring up ReaConsole.
Then type -s [enter] to unselect all.
Then type s106-116 [enter] to select tracks 106-116.

I hope this helps!

Hi BabaG,

I'm don't know if that's doable.
Hopefully one of the scripting-people will be along soon to help

thanks. hopefully so. i have toolbar buttons assigned to custom actions and scripts and it would be nice to be able to more efficiently access some of these parts of my template this way.

Ah, I'm with you now.

I've a toolbar with different buttons to show All, Instruments, Busses, Guitars, Record Armed tracks etc. in my templates.

I used Cycle Actions to get this going.
