REAPER Setup for Pro Tools Users
I developed a whole website that makes it easy for you to make the move from Pro Tools to Reaper. It has scripts, macros, mouse modifiers, tutorials, etc. all in one downloadable package to install onto Reaper in minutes:

Interested in checking this out. But as far as the introductory free modifiers and macros I wasn't able to find any information about exactly what would be showing up. Is there such a doc?
Thanks.

Hi all,
I use this old thread to continue to talk about the reaper's workflow for Protools user.
I'm a recent reaper user after 10 years of Protools.
I would like to talk especially about Automations Envelopes here.
I'm pretty fine with editing but I don't feel confortable to mix and deals with Automation Envelopes workflow.
I would like to know two things:
1) Is it possilbe to copy and paste Fx parameters?
In Protools you can hold command+shift+c to copy and Fx parameter and paste it (or punch it) by pressing command+shift+v.
I use it a lot to mix and I didn't find any solutions to copy and paste in Fx windows. You can copy/paste the whole plugin but not the parameters settings...
2) I would like to find a way to juste show on track the lane I want to automate.
In Protools you can hold command+shift and clic on the parameter you want to show on lane (volume, pan, fx parameter, whatever...). but in Reaper I don't like to see all the envelopes at the same time, and it's really boring to unclic "visible" on each track, each time you want to show something...
I hope my english is good enough to be understood.
I've made some researches to try to find answer but I didn't success.
Please let me know if there a thread about that.
Many thanks,
Best.

There are definitly actions to show only selected enveloppe and hide others.
I'm not at my pc right now it could be some scripts also. Did you install sws and reapack ?

There are one or two scripts on ReaPack that let you copy FX settings. I'm not on my Reaper machine right now, so all I could find with Google was "Copy focused FX data" from MPL's repository (I think ReaPack searches it by default).

Maybe you can help me on that?
I found this thread when I tape "Copy focused FX Data Reaper" on google.
Do you think it could work?
Many thanks for your lights.

I think I found an easier script than the one I mentioned above.
- Extension -> ReaPack -> Browse Packages.
- Type in "fx parameters", and you should see "Set selected tracks FX parameters values from last focused FX" by X-Raym come up.
- Right-click it, choose Install, and then at the bottom-right of the window choose Apply.
- Close the ReaPack window.
- You should now have that script available in Reaper's Action List for binding to a hotkey or whatever you want.
The script's usage should be just a matter of opening the effect with the settings you want, selecting the tracks that have other copies of that effect, and running the script.

Thank you for your feedback.
I understand that Rea pack is a bundle of news actions that don't exist in the basic version of reaper right?
I did what you recommand but nothing happened.
When I punh "Set selected tracks FX parameters values from last focused FX" with a hotkey nothing appear.
I'm look for something who could be said like that:
"Show only the fx envelope parameter touched"
- Nothing about copy and past quickly all the Fx parameter?
I'm surprise that it's not so clear because it is veru useful when you work with same automated plugin in several tracks.

I dig a bit more on the forum and I find this action:
"FX: Show/hide track envelope for last touched FX parameter"
Wich is pretty much what i'm looking for.
Do you think it could be possible to make it appear/disapear each time I press shift+command and clic on one Fx button?
So then it will be exactly as Protools does.
Thxxxx

Hi,
I'm using the Pro Tools Spacebar script and I have a weird issue everynow and then.
Normally, I have reaper setup so that playback starts from wherever the cursor is, I believe that's the default behaviour but It's happened to me twice now that I had to re-import my previously saved configuration file because the playback would start from the same location no matter what I did, unless I used pause instead of stop, otherwise it would always start from the same random location (Bar 10 for example).
I would close the project, open another project and the problem would persist but from a different location, maybe because of the different BPM, I don't know, might be related to timecode?
When I re-import my old configuration the problem is solved so I wonder if it's an action that I sometimes trigger by accident or what.
Thanks for the help in advance
