Default Live Performance with section later repeating (looping)

Hi,

Can the following be done with Super 8 or Playtime Looper (or any other way in Reaper)?

Say I have a 50 bar project that I want to use to perform a live performance.
Track 1 - 50 bar backing track
Track 2 - Me playing live guitar to the backing track. After I play the first 10 bars, instead of having the looper immediately start to loop those bars, I do not want it to loop until bar 31 and just play those 10 bars and then stop at bar 41. If I were playing a physical looper, I would hit the stop footswitch at bar 11 and the play footswitch at bar 31 and the stop again at bar 41. All the time I am continuing to play. Is this possible to do this fully automated without any foot switches or manual hand commands?

Yes, you can do this with most looper plugin that accept midi message to record, play and stop.
Instead of manually press a button at these moments (bar 11, bar 31 and bar 41). You can simply set midi items on the timeline at these moments.
Reaper provides the free super 8 looper that you can use for that purpose. Other commercial plugin can achieve this.
There's also other solution like nabla looper or playtime, but they are not maintained anymore. You can also use realearn (not easy to use though) or wait for the new playtime 2.

I personally use super 8 looper and it works great for pre-arranged live looping

You can also use regions or markers to jump between sections, using commands like "go to/select next region" (I don't have Reaper open so I can't look up the exact commands.

There are a number of useful commands for jumping between regions.

Nabla Looper es lo mejor que he visto hasta ahora. Es gratuito, es muy potente y una vez lo controles es increible lo que puedes hacer con él.
Es un poco complicado de instalarlo.
