Default replicating the destructive punch feature in Protools back in Reaper

Hi,

I'm wondering what people is using for replicating the destructive punch feature in Protools back in Reaper? I'm designing sound for a 360 short film and rendering 3OA (16 files). When recording a new pass (Tape mode) over the multitrack in order to incorporate changes, I experience “clicks” where the automatic generated crossfade is created. In theory this isn't supposed to happen. With a stereo file the crossfades seem to work fine almost all the time although not perfectly either. Gluing items doesn't make the “click” disappear. Am I forced to record/render the whole duration of the material every time I make a change? Thanks a lot . By the way, I'm on Windows 10, Reaper v5.95, Fb ws v3.3b3
