Kick ass tune! I liked the guitar work. Lead guitar part was really good.

That rocks nicely. Love the vocal chorus. The slow bridge adds a nice element of change.

Thanks Jason! - Good to know the link is working. For some reason it won't play on my Studio Mac Computer. Might be Safari not playing nice with Google.

I can only take credit for the rhythm guitars and some of the lead work. The main lead parts were done by my friend Steve. I caught his lead break going down live on video here: https://youtu.be/1Hja7IgJHsY

Thanks BCF! See this YT video link for the a video of my mate Steve putting down the lead guitar live.https://youtu.be/1Hja7IgJHsY
He's a real "in the moment" guitar player, and the live video tactic actually brought out the best in him, I think.

Thanks Barry! That chorus is pretty tricky to sing, particularly the second one, because of the change in lyrics there.

Thanks!

Incredibly good. All round. Great mix and playing and song.

I liked those real high parts you sang in a few spots. They were cool.

I'm like wow, that's some gooooood playing.

Is it me or is there like a real 80's thing going on in music lately. Even the songs I've worked one, my drummer and I were all oogling over 80's stuff for a few weeks. We both grew up then, so the nostalgia comes out sometimes. But we were listening to Greg Khin Band, Survivor, that one song by that one gal, "I need a Hero", I think it was in flashdance. I mean all this stuff. I see it on TV shows lately and some well known bands.

Lucius has put out some new songs lately and they are waaaay like that. IMHO.

I'm going to have to start leaning another way. Cuz when I hear a pattern, I try to stay away from it. Back to listening to Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers and Elvis. LOL.

I think this is a great tune. Great hook, smart arrangement. Keeps my interest. Fresh & well-made. Glad I got the chance to listen.

This is great work, dare I say a highly marketable product, although you would probably need to promote it with a full live band. I keep trying to place your work stylistically. I hear elements of many bands from the 70's/80's pub rock era. To me it seems familiar, yet unique at the same time. I also appreciate the ironic humour of your lyrics.

Thanks 41TWIN, thanks for the kind comments! Any resemblance to 80s music is probably incidental, rather than intentional. In terms of song structure, the chords for the verse are basically a very thinly disguised Purple Haze! I much preferred 70s and 90s music because of the emphasis on guitars in those decades. There is some music from the late 70s and very early 80s that I like, but my preferences in tones and sonics tends to be more rooted in the early 90s. That said, TBH, I don't really think about "eras" of music... it's all just music to me. Fashions come and go, but good songs tend to hang around, no matter what era they are from.

Thanks TW! Marketing is something I have absolutely no idea about. I just concentrate on music, and that's enough for me.

I really like the "familiar yet unique" comment! That probably sums up what I am trying to achieve... and yes, pub rock is a big influence on me... and thanks for noticing the lyrics - that is something I put a lot of thought into, and is a big part of my songwriting.

... oh, and a side note....Speaking of pub rock... Steve, the guitarist who played most of the lead on this track, is from Newcastle, NSW and used to frequent the Star Hotel to watch live bands. He was actually there watching his favourite local band, "Heroes" on the infamous night of the riot chronicled in by Don Walker in Cold Chisel's "Star Hotel"!

Just got round to listening to this one.

What can I say! The whole song sounds incredibly colorful and pleasing right across the frequency spectrum. Lots of interesting parts that keep me hooked as a listener. Great lyrics as well.

I hear some Alice in chains influence, only a small touch but and that to me adds to the colour and timbre of the piece.

Vocals are dynamic and tight in the pocket in all the right places. Love that crawling verse feel.

That chorus is powerful and catchy as a corona party. Love the backups there.

Snare sound is great plus the overall drum sound drives the song well and the leads are tasty.

Full package there FF!!! Great rock song and one to be proud of.

Nice work! The song is a classic hard-rock but in a modern rendition.
I got only one small criticism... not really.

The tempo should have been a bit faster. It is groovy really nevertheless!

Thanks Pashkuli! I'm glad it conveys the classic/modern vibe.

Tempo's a tricky thing - too slow and it sounds sluggish, too fast and you lose the lope groove. I just went with what felt best.

Thanks again for listening and commenting!

Great song, nice arrangement. Well sung. Congrats, good job man.
When I want to hear this sing loud, I would dial in a bit of lowend. Not much, 1-2 dB, but I miss a little bit the lowend punch.

Hi Jopame! Greetings from Australia - My mother is German (Berlin), btw...

Thanks for taking a listen and commenting - much appreciated. I plan to get the album mastered by a trusted mastering engineer, so the release mix may well have a little more low end. I may give the mix one more look over before I send it off, so I'll keep your comment in mind.

Thanks again!
