Selecting multiple tracks with shift + arrow up/down

I can't do this in Reaper, I don't know if it's default behavior or if I've messed up something, but it would be really useful if I could for my current workflow.

Is it any way to make that work?

search actions list for "keep current." There are sws actions to add adjacent tracks to the selection and you can make shortcuts for those.
