Default Part of the render of my project sounds very different from the in-reaper playback

https://soundcloud.com/kris-rhodes-8...-word-with-you

The very very beginning of this song, where there's a pop, a pause, then a long reverb sound, sounds very different in the .wav file than it does when I play the song in Reaper.

In Reaper, it sounds like a quiet distant relatively-lower-frequency pop followed by a closer, louder relatively-higher-frequency reverberation.

In the rendered .wav, it instead soundds like a close loud higher-frequency (relatively to in-reaper-playback) pop followed by a close, loud, similar-frequency reverb sound.

Any idea what may cause this and how I can get it to sound more like it does in reaper?

I think I may have made it better by using real-time rendering instead. The linked wav is now a more fixed version so my post may sound confusing now!
