Default Global OFF for "Preserve pitch when changing rate"

This is probably in there somewhere but I can't find it in the manual or other searches.

In the Media properties, there is a check box to preserve the pitch when changing the rate.

I'd like a session setting to have this be OFF by default. Is there one?

Old thread, but I'm still looking for the answer. Would love to default all media items to uncheck "preserve pitch when changing rate" Really great for doing a lot of sound design work.

Not sure it's possible but there is an action "clear take preserve pitch" that you can assign to a shortcut.

+1 agree, for sound designers mangling audio to make new effects, this would be the best default.

I currently use a shortcut to 'Toggle take preserve pitch', because sometimes I go to pitching up/down for design, other times I go back to preserve, very quickly and frequently for tiny slithers of audio when stitching together a sound effect. So for this, my toggle shortcut is handy.

90% of the time I want pitch preserve off, so I'd rather concern myself only with toggling it on when needed.
