GIGAWATT-Voyager 1 (streaming now!)
Well its time for the release of my album!
This is the second track from my new album DETRITUS.
Stock Schecter Omen 8, Rondo Bass, PODFarm, EZD and Slate drums, and HG Fortune synths.
I'll be releasing a song a week streaming on my reverbnation page.
Then when all are released I will have a bulk download containing all songs lyrics and art FOR FREE!!!
www.reverbnation.com/gigawatt
Lyrics:
Challenging physics and breaking the threshold of
The relentless shackles of earth
Rocketing skyward to escape the grasp of
The reflection of oceans and dirt
Pushing into the vacuum of night as the pinholes of light begin to appear
Reaching for heights of an unknown proportion
A system of bodies that soon disappear
And what lies ahead is the pathway to the unknown
A civilization perhaps or garden of forsaken stone
Amazement and wonder rely on the cold and the darkness of night
To knock on the door and await a heavenly reply...
Incoming transmission:
(Solo)
End of line

Voyager 1:
this song gives me a feeling of "suspense" for some reason. like i'm sitting on the edge of a razor ready to tilt to one side of the other at any moment.
love it when that happens.
Binary:
the drive of that song is fukin insane.
Google Definitions--"intense": The New Binary by Gigawatt.
awesome awesome awesome lyrics. like poetry. superb.

For some reason this reminds me a bit of "Machines of Loving Grace", who, by the way, only wish they could get that heavy groove. Awesome. More...more!

Cool stuff. I listened to 'The New Binary' first without really reading what kind music this is about. Cool "space" ambient... boom! In your face chugging metal. Nice, haha. The soft atmospheric middle part is interesting.
'Voyager 1' also has nice atmospheric intro, but kicks into the song earlier. Cool guitar solo. Nice combination of melody and "cacophony".
This sounds very modern. Interesting stuff.

Wow!
Thanks sooooo much for the comments fella's.
Very much appreciated.
There will be 8 songs total all said and done.
Next week is "Voyager 2" once again featuring the mighty Scott LePage's handy work on lead guitar.
Never thought I could actually compose a concept album. Lol.

Well since I have been listening to these songs for a bit now because I am a privileged elite , I am slightly biased. But... I think they sound GREAT bro. Nice mixes. Can't wait to hear it in it's entirety, in order, like 100 times in a row.

Awesome. Straight up. To quote my two year old, who listened to it this morning said, "WHOAH! THAT'S LOUD!"

Congratulations on finishing the album, Steve!
Just gave Voyager 1 a few spins.
Dude, my responses to your posts are going to get real old, real fast. They're all going to sound the same. I love your tunes. Period.
You could post a song under an alias that nobody has seen before and I would know that it is you. You've got an instantly recognizable sound. You wouldn't even need to be singing and I could tell it's you. It's your sense of groove.
I can't help but just groove along. It's completely involuntary. Every time.
I can picture you sitting there with headphones on, recording your tracks, just getting right into it, like the rest of the world doesn't exist around you. I can hear the feeling you put into it coming out of the recording.
That's what is king to me, when it comes to music.
Can't wait to hear the rest, dude.

I can only repeat what was already said:
Awesome. You found a proper style.
Looking forward to the release of the whole album. I'll buy it :-)

Kevin, this is by far the most flattering comment I have ever received. I can't thank you enough for truly being my biggest fan.

Once all the tracks are out, I'm making a bundle with artwork, lyrics sheet, and better quality files.
Trust me... You and Scott will have first dibbs
