Batch file/item converter - convert split stereo files to interleaved stereo

Often I have to deal with remix stems that are bounced out of PT as split stereo (i.e. L and R channels are two separate mono WAV files)... I really hate working like this but the only simple batch converter which will join these files together is in Logic...

It'd be awesome if Reaper incorporated this feature into the Batch file/item converter. Something that will just stitch together 2 appropriately-named stems (blah.L.wav and blah.R.wav) into one interleaved stereo file (blah.interleaved.wav or whatever) without any other DSP process..
