Auto Record Threshold (Sampler Style)

Hi. I've been trying to figure out how to have recording start and stop automatically when the signal passes a set level threshold.

I'm trying to transfer a bunch of old samples from floppies using a sampler with no usb port. I'd rather not have to hand-trim each event, but I can't find a way that is working.

Found references to the "Save Live Output to Disk" option, but it didn't seem to respond to the threshold I set. Also, I saw a reference to some workaround using MIDItoReaContolPath, and I will keep trying that, but it sure would be great to have an option on the transport for auto-recording.

I would also like to have recording start (and stop) by a level threshold. For a different purpose: to record rehearsals and jam sessions without capturing all the dead time (and arguments).

Would probably need to designate which channel to sense threshold on, and a setting for 'release' time after level dips below threshold.
