Default Plugins to Sound Like Ventris Dual Reverb

the ventris dual reverb sounds so awesome. Does anyone know a way of recreating these reverbs with VSTs? I've tried combining reverb plugins but I can'[t even get close to the beauty of the Ventris dual Reverb.

To save a bit of Googling:

With a bit or work (and understanding of how reverb algorithms work), you could build your own with MeldaProduction's MTUrbiReverb:

Thanks man! This is going to take some work and I definitely don't understand how reverb algorithms work. I tried googling before but I couldn't find the answers. I'll try this, once again thanks dude!

Wait for it to be in the Eternal Madness 50% sale (4 different MeldaProduction plug-ins each week, I think) or buy a bundle

But you csn start trying it out right now.

In the meantime try Valhalla Vintage, it has a large number of different sound modes.

Does the Melda do spring reverb? I know Valhalla doesn't.

That was mentioned as a particular stand out in the Sound On Sound review of the pedal.

The Valhalla recommendation was based on low cost, sound quality and flexibility. Poeticas seems to want something more affordable yet flexible. No idea how it compares directly to be fair.
Newbies might like to hear that you can combine absolutely any reverbs in a DAW (not just two)- that pedal's main selling point seems to be that it is a dual reverb. So for instance you could use Valhalla Shimmer or Eventide Blackhole with Valhalla Vintage or U-HE Spring Twangstrom:

Yeah, my influences are ambient, semi-shoegaze. My sound is like a combination of the Cure and Slowdive. I just want it where you play a chord and it sounds like out of this world ethereal.

Then try all the reverbs I suggested, they are all small downloads.
If you wanted huge reverb sounds then Blackhole and Shimmer could appeal, that said even Valhalla Vintage is capable of artificial massive reverb times.

Also look into delays, such as Valhalla delay among many others such as Soundtoys and the TAL freebies:

Yeah the Valhalla verb is awesome! I've tried combining them, maybe I just need to experiment more.

You should never stop experimenting!
Of course you need bucket loads of distortion in the mix too if musically Shoegazing.

It should cost more than the pedal..you can use one pedal at once. You can use as many plugins at once as the computer allows

Check out Dragonfly reverb - free and a lot of folks around here like it quite a bit, myself included.

There's also ReaVerb, the free convolution effect that comes with Reaper. There are tons of freebie IRs.
