Bug with custom actions which doesn't work when they are on the media explorer toolbox.

----------------------

Is it expected as normal?

Good stuff here. Would it be possible to get a toggle for the play reversed action and also have that action start playing reversed from the current MX preview playhead location? Thinking:

Preview: Toggle play reversed (from playhead location)

These little tweaks would really help users build up a great MX toolbar. I'd use that one for trying to find a section of audio that I think might sound cool reversed without having to start at the end of the media item.

Decoding with both VLC and ffmpeg seems to work perfectly now. Great work devs!

Same here, custom actions do not work from the media explorer toolbar

It's really cool that these .caf files work so nicely in Reaper now. Getting rid of the converted versions will save a lot of storage.

The only bummer that remains is that the BPM can't be displayed in the MX.. after all the great tweaks from the last dev cycles (which seemed impossible at first), is there still no way around this limitation? Maybe by having Reaper calculate it using the beat count from CAFINFO tags and the .CAF reported length?

Btw the way this has been solved now is very intuitive, way better UX than with the dropdown IMO.
Also the activation state is clearly visible now with the green background when active. So also great work on this, devs!
Just not sure about the aesthetics of having them outlined and the other icons not but I get the logic behind it, as they are all options belonging to one functionality (plus it is not difficult to change or mod the icons anyway and I'm sure users will supply alternatives).

Default invisible items in supercollapsed folders, are being selected and deleted

Items that are not visible because they are in folders, are selected and deleted without knowing and without being able to notice it.
it never happend to me before this update, but I don't know if it could happen.

This happens when setting the RTCONFIG.txt file to hide the children inside supercollapsed folders (supercollapsed = 0). (which is awesome and very clean to my eyes)

but it doesn’t make sense that unseen items can be selected, I deleted more than half of the project without knowing because the folders were supercollapsed. ☹

Please change this behavior as soon as possible,
if supercollapsed = 0, don’t select unseen items inside folders.

There is my setting in the rtconfig file:
Code:
tcp_heights 0 24 50 64 ; supercollapsed, collapsed, small(norecarm), recarm size

@Reflected: It has always been like this. Setting supercollapsed=0 doesn't mean 'hide track' but 'make supercollapsed track 0 pixels high'. The fact that 0 pixels = invisible doesn't mean that the track is actually hidden from Reaper's TCP.

So setting supercollapsed=0 is rather a hack that themers use to work around Reaper's missing feature of a true, fully collapsed folder state and not an officially supported way of hiding tracks. I myself use this hack too (and I am aware of this issue) but it never caused me trouble, probably because I never draw selections over folders. But themers who release their theme and use this hack should definitely put a big red warning line in their theme threads so that users are aware.

I think the cleanest solution is not disallow selection of tracks at height=0px but add a preference that overrides the supercollapsed track heigth from the rtconfig and fully hides the track in supercollapsed state instead.

As this is not a bug or a recent behavior but a missing feature I believe it should be better discussed in the FR forum. There are already threads, it has been requested several times.

actually i would love an supercollapsed "invisible" mode for that. Would be good for my eyes too.

Razor copy selection spans 2 tracks during drag. (dropping there targets lower track)

It's been pointed out in the past (e.g. https://forum.cockos.com/showthread....903#post905903) and not related to this +dev cycle.
Though I agree it's dangerous when not knowing and 'real' supercollapsed invisible mode would be nice.

I never had problems (at least I didn't notice) so I forgot your warning :X
but man... this is so danger, this got to be fixed.

As I see now, like me, lots of people here prefer not to see the tracks in the supercollapsed folder, so maybe it's possible to fix this issue from the dev's side.

For really short tracks it would show just a number of lanes overall.

Yes more logical/visual.

It would be nice, too, to be able to chose the size and the font of numbers.
