Sorry, posted it too soon by mistake:

I may have asked a similar question in the past. Excuse me if I have.
I am using Melodyne 5.

I have recorded a vocal track. Picked the best takes and patted it into better shape with Melodyne.
There is just one note that is a bit sour. So I am trying to copy a sweeter one later on in the tune and paste it instead of the sour one.

I highlight the sweet note. Go into context for copy, deselect highlight then move back to sour note, highlight sour note, and go into context to paste. Nothing happens.
Start again, go back to sour note, cut sour note and paste, nothing
Try again, put cursor above sour note and paste, nothing.
Try copy and paste as I would in a (Control + C control + V).
Nothing.

Any ideas please?

Thanks Grinders. I found that video before posting here.

I did everything he did, and more:

"I highlight the sweet note. Go into context for copy, deselect highlight then move back to sour note, highlight sour note, and go into context to paste. Nothing happens.
Start again, go back to sour note, cut sour note and paste, nothing

If you're using the VST3 version with ARA make sure to select the track in Reaper before opening up the FX window

Thanks Pandabot. I always do that.
Upon reflection I think the problem is that you can't notes from one take into another take!

Oh yeah you're right, I didn't know that. I guess it should work if you glue but you'd probably lose your changes first

Copying in an ARA context

Within a clip, you can copy and paste notes without any restrictions. Whether you can copy a note from one clip and paste it into another depends upon whether or not the two clips are accessing the same audio file.

Thanks Pandabot.
You are right. I made a duplicate glued the takes and my edits disappeared. So I am starting from scratch.

Funny. You see all these videos on Youtube about copying and pasting in Melodyne, making all look so easy, and no one mentions that it won't work properly if you copy and paste from different takes! I imagine nearly every one who records vocals uses different takes.
