Some of my tracks disappeared in multiple projects. Their media items are still in the project folder, but the tracks (with two weeks of editing work) are missing. (Luckily I had a backup from two weeks ago.)
The missing tracks were hidden via track manager, because they were DI tracks.
(Is it possible that they got removed via clean current project directory?)

Clean project directory deletes only missing files in projects, not tracks. Can't say why it could be deleted. Don't you have undo history file?
Ok this is so weird.
Tomorrow morning I used the DI tracks for reamping. After that, I hid them via track manager.
7h later I got back to the project and: the hidden tracks are gone for good.
