Hello Lucas,

First of all, big respect to you and all the themes that you made and modded.
The themes you've made are just so beautiful it is difficult for me to stick to one of your themes.
Now I think that I will stick to the grey Luna theme and I was looking on the forums
I saw this thread that you made a mixer mod for the Luna theme.
So I wanted to ask a few questions about the mod:
Is this mod also available for the grey version?
Or is it possible to apply this mod to the grey version of Luna?
And my biggest question is, is this mod needed I mean does it make the theme work better?

I would like to use the blue version but I'm not a big fan of blue colors so the blue meters annoys me a little bit.

These where just questions that came up in my mind, so please don't see it as a request or something because I'm already happy with the grey Luna theme.

(p.s. My apologies for my bad English, it is not my main language and I learned by watching movies and reading.)

Greetings,

Mevzu

No there is no gray version.
It takes too much time to support both versions and the blue version appears to have the most interest, so I dropped the gray version.

is it possible to apply this mod to the grey version of Luna?
No, but it's possible to mod LCS_Luna_SE to create a gray version.
Unfortunately, you will need to learn theming (WALTER code, editing PNG files, etc.).

And my biggest question is, is this mod needed I mean does it make the theme work better?
You will have to try them both to see if you need the changes available in the SE version

you can replace them with the 3 green/yellow/orange meter files from the Luna Gray:
meter_strip_h.png
meter_strip_v.png
meter_strip_v_rms.png

Those files are located in the image folder.
The LCS_Luna_SE.ReaperThemeZip file can be opened in 7zip to gain access to the image folder.

It's completely clear for me now.
I think i'm going to take a deep dive into theming to make a few changes for myself, like the "meter strip"
Thanks a lot for your answers and your time sir.
God bless you!

You're welcome!
swapping the meters should be an easy mod.
If you want to do a gray mod, it's a bit more complicated.
It's possible you just need to open all the files that have the blue tone in an image editor and de-saturate them.
It's pretty easy, but time consuming.

Thanks for your advice, today I'm going to give it a try since I finally have time for it. I've also read the posts and guides about theming so I think I will be able to do it. I thank you for your time and response, big respect!

Method #1 - The Easy Way:
- Open Reaper and load the theme
- Select OPTIONS from the menu bar
- Select LAYOUTS near the bottom of the Options list
- navigate to and select the desired layout.

This will change all tracks to the selected layout and any new track added will also use that selected layout.

You may need to do this with each new project.

Method #2 - The Hard Way:
- unpack the theme
- open the RTconfig file in a plain text editor (I use Notepad)
- add the following to just above the start of the current (unnnamed) default layout:
LAYOUT "Old Default"
add the following to the bottom underneath the last line of the current default layout or after the last line of any layout 'nested' in the current default layout:
ENDLAYOUT

Note:
Method #2 may have adverse affects on other non-default layouts.
I suggest using Method #1 unless you want to learn about theming
