so, Vocrider goes on vocal track and use block diagrams for rest right? The reason I ask these questions is I have followed many of the wonderful assisting in this forum but sometimes it is just a simple error of how the help is worded, will try it later and comment, thanks for assisting, DR

Sure but it works just fine in 32 bit bridged. The plugin just isn't complex enough to have any noticeable benefit in 64bit

That's it. The thing just works. When the guitar gets loud the vocals rise above it a bit but return to normal when they are quiet.

I'll be damned, but it does work! I was using the JS louderizer, but I think I'll be using this from now on.

True Fergler, an effect vst plugins is completely different than a memory hungy VSTi like Kontakt sampler that can benefit to use extra ram.

yeah, I see Fergler's answering, but please need specific instructions. You put the vocrider on the vocal channel, and send the music to be muted slightly to it, on what 1/2 3/4 setup? Thanks for assisting, psingman

The plugin doesn't change the volume of the music when put on the vocal track, it "rides the fader" of the vocal track based on the levels of whatever other track or tracks you send to it.
This is how I set it up:
Plugin on vocal track
All other tracks go into either a folder or are sent to a buss. Either buss or folder parent is sent to channel 3/4 of the vocal track.
Then adjust plugin parameters as needed.

Indeed. Post back when you get it working. I use this one as well as the HoRNet plugin, and honestly, Terry's is at least as good.

Thanks Richie43, that's another way of using the plugin.
The usually way it works is put it on a buss and route all your vocal tracks to it, "send" the music tracks to the buss (sidechain).
Great to hear that you like the plugin

Isn't that what I described? In Reaper a folder track is the same as a buss in this situation. I set it up basically the same way as you just described but in my scenario I used a single vocal track. In cases when I have multiple vocal tracks, I rarely have them in one buss with a vocal rider on it because I may want different vocals to duck differently (triggered by different combinations of tracks). My explanation was intentionally simple so the person could get up and running and later explore more complex methods....
If I tried to describe one of the more complex ways I use this, it may take up too much space here and cause more instead of less confusion... (I have some complex mixes.... )
