Default Multi-touch Mixer

Special request for future versions:

the mixer section should support multi-touch, like SONAR X3

Not the whole app, just the mixer window/section, multi-touch would be a great next step and move Reaper to a whole new level imho.

Thank You and Much Health to All!

Agreed. Strange that it's not supported. I think we needs track locking first, as touchscreens mess up routing constantly with unwanted dragging.

I use Reaper on two touchscreens all day, every day. It's amazing, but it needs a lot of work. It would be nice to see multi-touch capability in the mixer, because why not, but seeing as how even grabbing a single fader is sketchy as-is, that isn't really going to do much on it's own. Things like focusing the multitouch input on ONLY the mixer while you're using it would have to go hand in-hand with that feature, as currently with multitouch scrolling enabled, if you don't grab a fader with a horizontal finger motion initially, you will instead scroll. These and so many touch-related features should be polished up.

If you need a tester, I am always swiping over here!

No idea if you're still following this but out of curiosity which touchscreens are you using?

Also curious as to which touchscreens he's using.

I'd love to have a big multitouch display mounted on my desk at a slight angle for mixing.

Really looking forward to this. Some other DAW support native multitouch and this a breakthru considering the low cost of big multitouch monitors novaday

Can you move more than one fader simultaneously with any of those settings?

I don't think you understand the problem. Reaper doesn't support true multi-touch; only a few multi-touch gestures (like zoom). Which is why none of those settings matter to this FR.

yes indeed. Just I asked if ever these settings could solve the problem.
However, AFIR, there is somewhere an answer that states it will not implemented.

So I think if it's necessary we can open a feature request.
