You're freaking kidding me rite? Logic has this???
Just bought TouchOSC for the iPad and now desperately trying to connect it to reaper. Just saw this video of touchOSC and Logic 9.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzjnVTqjblY
Check out the part where the guy opens the CHANNEL STRIP's plugins and gets the plugin's parameters AUTO-MAPPED!! to the surface! How insanely cool is this??
Am I dreaming, or is this gonna show up in Reaper sometime sooon???

On a pc you have this via Klinke's amazing MCU mod but on a mac you don't have it yet unfortunately.

I don't know that Reaper has native OSC support coming, but that shouldn't stop you.
Video - Controlling Oddity in Reaper using TouchOSC
He explains what you need to get it working.
So, it's possible, just requires OSC to MIDI conversion. Native OSC support would be phenomenal, though.

Native OSC implementation will be a bit later in v4 development cycle, as stated by schwa.

Are you sure that this can be used for TouchOSC? I'm digging threads on the klinke mod but it seems to be specific to Behringer unless I'm mistaken.
There's too much stuff to read and its not very concise, if I may point out.

This thread might help. They discuss getting OSC to MIDI working for Ableton and an iPad program called Konkreet Performer, but the premise is the same - translate OSC to MIDI, so it might work to get TouchOSC working in Reaper.

Hi, not (yet) a Reaper user, but thought might be able to help out a bit...
- A recent update to TouchOSC has included MIDI support now too, so might be worth checking that out if it's more convenient. Check out: http://hexler.net/docs/touchosc-setup-coremidi-network
- OSC to MIDI conversion options on a Mac include the very convenient OSCulator (a Windows version of OSCulator is planned, but don't know when it'll be released)
- OSC to MIDI conversion options on Windows include Pure Data and Max. For our Konkreet Performer the Pure Data patch is linked in entspeak's previous post and the Max runtime patch (free and doesn't require Max installation) is available here: http://konkreetlabs.com/2011/05/24/f...idi-converter/ - for the TouchOSC equivalent, check out http://hexler.net/docs/touchosc-setup-other and scroll down to the "MIDI" section
Hope that helps.
Really hope Reaper will support OSC natively sometime in the future... :-)

It will. Cockos said so, so the stone slab with those words on it are lying around somewhere.

The question isn't a matter of will, its a matter of when. If they release it in 4.99, then technology would have moved on by then.
But knowing Cockos to be a step ahead of its competitors, I suspect, and hope that OSC is high in their pipeline.
I've been using V4 for a serious project and its been doing great, except for a few minor bugs. I can't imagine there's too many stuff that's in the pipeline for the V4 release. Just smooth out the rough edges, and add a 'one-more-thing' feature, Steve Jobs style and let OSC be this thing.

Have you tried the AC-7 App from Saitara? They use the MCU protocol and should work fine in combination with my extension. But of course the Logic - TouchOSC solution is really awesome and a hardware emulation approach like the AC-7 can't never get close to this.
