Default JS FX GUI set

I have seriously got to get a life...

Hope they brighten up your screen if nothing else.

I have tested them somewhat, but it's possible there may be some glitches left in there. As always, Cockos has nothing to do with these incarnations of their original effects.

I updated the delay a bit to match things I was doing on some of the others.

get the package at:

https://stash.reaper.fm/v/3980/JS%20GUI.zip < - LINK UPDATED JAN. 30, 2010

cheers

EDIT: AS POINTED OUT TO ME, THESE DON'T DISPLAY PROPERLY IN THE CURRENT VERSION, ONLY IN THE v3 BETA VERSION - I WILL TRY TO COME UP WITH A COMPATIBLE SET FOR 2.X VERSIONS.

Edit #2: Updated May 2, 2009
Fixed a few bugs and things in the delay, flanger and chorus

Edit #3: Updated again May 2, 2009
Fixed some more problems, applies to all the effects in the set.

Edit #4: 2.x version
I've attached a 2.x compatible version of the GUI's - unfortunately I had to remove the input text box as there doesn't appear to be any other way to display them properly in the current release JS environment.

Great work!!

Just a note, the window does not size right for these in the current version of Reaper. In the current version the GUI is cut off at the bottom with a block of empty space on the tip. In the current beta the GUI looks just like the picture.

I hope the Reaplugs get an update

What is that theme?

Once again, absolutely amazing and very well done!

+1 to see these natively in REAPER.

When entering values in the flanger effect it seems to be one knob off of the last touched.

Hi zappsunzorn,

Ugh, I just realized I've been making all these using the v3 beta - you're right they don't show up properly in the current version. I know Cockos did some changes to the JS display code for version 3. In the current version, it seems when you display a slider as I have done, it automatically resizes based on the total number of sliders, displayed or not.

I'll see if I can come up with a 2.X compatible version of these.

I did fix the bugs in the flanger and have updated the zip file - nice catch, I guess I was a little sleepy when I did that one!

Oh, by the way, the theme is one that I've been working on for version 3. I'll let it out eventually

cheers

Thanks Kyle,

The Reaplugs are a different animal and not skinnable at this point AFAIK. I'm sure Cockos will get to that eventually, but I doubt it's a big priority. When they do, I'm sure White Tie will come up with something infinitely more awesome than I could muster.

cheers

Very nicely done argee. I like the selection of fx you chose to skin as well. It's a real bread-and-butter sort of suite for mixing

Ha ha, no donations required, it's all about karma!

I think I know how I can make a 2.x compatible version of these, but it's going to take some re-coding and as I only know enough programming to be a danger to myself and others, it may take a little while. Stay tuned...

cheers

So awesome!

We're actually planning on making a 'REAPER extra content pack' that is free to download, which would include a bunch of (CC licensed) demo songs, reusable samples, impulses, and perhaps plugins like these...

I see no harm with creating a paypal account and allowing people to donate if they like. That's what the Reaper community is all about. Some can contribute knowledge and help, others can contribute a few bills now and then etc. We all have different ways to give back to the Reaper community even if it's just talking about Reaper on other forums.

The DUC users are sure chatting alot of good things about Reaper these days. It wasnt me, honest.

Default Sorry

I've just uploaded the package again as I discovered there was some basic flaws in the way I was translating control movements into audio changes that meant changes were not always happening.

I think I've got it sorted out now. It applies to all the effects in the set.

Sorry guys!

The link in the OP is to the updated set.

Nice job.

I feel like a retard now... until seeing the picture up top, I was positive that Reaper didn't have come with any sort of chorus plugin.

Thanks again guys!

FYI I've updated the Chorus GUI with a bunch of comments in the code for anyone who wants to customize the knob increments or just figure out what I'm doing - the comments should be applicable to all the other effects as well.

Great work on these, as this is one of the biggest things that takes away from Jesusonic FX. So many great plugs, but they are so tediouas with their no GUI. Some do well (IMHO) this way, but most could really do well and deserve a fantastic front end for their fantastic programming. (same with ReaFX too).

I was thinking of doing some myself eventually. We should put together of most used JS Effects to skin.
