Is Ninjam symmetric or asymmetric bitrate for each participants? It would be possible to have one person connect with a modem while other connect DSL/Cable or when one participant located faraway, if each of the participants use different audio compression bitrate to adjust his connection. Just assume, the server has the computing power to bind and unbind the data with asymmetric bitrate.

Plus, other possible usage for having asymmetric bitrate, since most of the upload connection is much slower, directional bitrate might also provide advantage to dump out some latency problem.
