Have to unplug midi keyboard every new session

Hello!

first of all, hi to this great community, I'm very glad that I have found Reaper.

Still working my way through my optimal workflow.

One thing that annoys me, every time I start Reaper, I have to unplug and plug in my midi keyboard again (Akai MPK49) so that it works and that I see a signal in Reaper.

Is that normal?
