Reamote can't find slave

Hello, folks.

I'm trying for the first time to use Reaper Reamote, but without success.

Both Macs are running Sierra and can't see each other.

The sharing service from the mac are working fine. I can't access one via the Finder without problems.

I tried to put the IP from the local network, but keeps saying disconnected even when I ask to connect.

I'm running out of ideas to put it to work.

Any ideas?

perfect network, ping ping ping
yet can neither manually nor auto find the slave in either direction.... ever
