Did your track names really disappear, or were they too large to read properly? If the track name is disappearing, I'd like to understand the problem and fix it here, too!

Might someone be able to explain how I may go about adding the record enable button to the Standard TCP layout, so that its visible when the tracks are minimized as it is in the simple layout? I have lots of live inputs and VST's in my template and it's essential to have a record enable button visible. That's my only issue otherwise I love everything...
or maybe simply how to replace the FX button with a record button on the TCP

I was about to post the same thing
Tried the latest version, this theme has become amazing!

And while at this stage and i can see the record button at minimum track height, would it be possible to show the envelopes too when i extend horizontally the track after some point at minimum height?

Sure, that's possible. But you can't have phase. Gotta draw a line somewhere.

Not sure if I understand you correct Would there be a problem to show only the envelopes without the phase at minimum track height and then show the envelopes next to the phase with the track higher?
Here's a gif:
At the start of it and at this size, it shows only the record which is nice, then when i extend it a little bit and stop, is where i would like to show the envelopes without phase.
Then if i raise the track height, i would like to move the envelopes next to the phase.

It would be useful too If it could be shown like this at this size:

I think this is what you mean:
More than this is probably entering the realm of "feel free". :-)
This will require some additional massaging, but it's close.

Yes i meant exactly this. I'm just wondering if it's possible to align better the envelopes bellow rec and monitoring, so it has the same size horizontally with them. Maybe to make smaller the area only where trim is written.
Cheers and thanks a lot for all your work!

Nope, not without it getting all squished.
Here's something to try: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7lpz0ji0qq..._TEST.zip?dl=0
These kinds of details and little behavioral exceptions/additions have a definite point of diminishing returns for the amount of work that goes into implementing them.

you could change the ENV button to collapse to just the symbol at a certain size to reclaim some space when the track is too narrow.

That would be nice too, also for minimum track height so it doesn't need to extend it that much to show the envelopes.

That's a bit more excellence than I am currently committed to. I'm pretty happy with it as it is, but need to spend some time with the latest changes before revising them.

Ohh man that looks great! On the second track though where the trim is not aligned with the above icons, does it really need to show up or it would be better to show just the envelope icon?
In any case, my gratitude for taking the time for it

Thank you so much for the Peace theme.
I've been looking for a theme that isn't too bright or too dark. This one is "just right" and very clear too.

And to repeat another request from someone else: call it a mod name so the original is still visible and start a new thread. Maybe the OP will come by and want to do further work on his interpretation which would lead to a mess.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be putting my mods to the theme up on Github in the next couple of days since it has now reached "maturity". I'll start a new thread then, and I'll be able to deal with versioning somewhat easier than with Dropbox.

And because I just love having people bark at me in the imperative, it's up on Github:
https://github.com/jeremybernstein/REAPER_Peace
Here's a new forum thread to discuss the theme + my modifications.
And with that, I bid this thread adieu and, once again, offer my wholehearted and sincere thanks to Ice Cold Milk for his excellent and inspiring work.

Those are track icons, not real meters.

50% Layout
Great theme! I like how everything is arranged. But since I still use 13" Macbook Air, how hard would it be to get all the elements smaller.
Cheers,

That's great, where exactly should we insert these code lines? While searching the rtconfig.txt, the only place it mentions transport is on the 7th line "transport_showborders 0"
Edit* Neverming, I found it all the way down to the bottom of the document. Your code is the last lines of the doc and it works perfectly thanks!
Thanks,

Is there any way to keep tracks layout color always noticeable and not only when I select the track? What I mean is that when I select a track with red color for example it all turns red but when i choose another track the red track shows the color on the left side with tracks number.

You can set a color for selected track background (odd tracks) and (even tracks) from Theme development/tweaker
and then it will be noticeable which track is selected.

I also would like the color to affect the whole track even when not selected. Could the track title have a very dark or black background with white text when not selected and a white background with black text when selected? Or leave it as it is and flip the background and text when selected.
I would be happy to change it myself but that is one of the rtconfig.txt settings I don't know how to do.

That's fine if using the default theme but when you start tweaking a bunch of settings, then when there's a theme update you have to go through and it's never quite the same.

The track background colors aren't specified programmatically in the rtconfig.txt file, only in the theme.ReaperTheme file, so they cannot be dynamic based on track color. Or have you seen a theme where it works like that?

Outstanding theme! I've browsed through dozens of them lately and went back to default until I found this one here! Great work.
Two things annoy me though, and this is due to my incapability of bearing with the color blue displayed within the main functional units of a theme:
Please add a version with standard green, yellow, red metering! And also, please add a version with a green FX enabled button instead of the blue one.
