Control Monitoring FX
I have a fader on my Monitoring FX. Is there any way to put this control in the master fader or to control the fader through assigning an action please? I would like to use page up / page down on the keyboard to control the volume if possible and also have the fader docked if possible.

Nope, you can't use track controls or parameter modulation on monitor FX. But you can MIDI learn it.

I tried to put the fx on my master bus and then add that volume control to the master track but when I do Show in Track Controls, I don't see the control for Gain appear but the master track gets hosed up. Also, Can i "midi learn" my page up/ page down keys on the keyboard so they send the vol up/down control signal ?

Isn't this a bug if the the param controls don't get added to the master track and the existing controls go wonky ?

You cannot, because page up/down keys do not send any MIDI data.

Does that wonkiness persist if you widen the track? Almost looks like an unexpected Walter sizing condition. I have no idea, that's just what it looked like at first glance.

Yeah it's wonky no matter what size master track is and I even tried a different plugin GFader and it's the same.

Here is a demo using ReaControlMIDI and MIDItoReaControlPath on the Master channel to control a Gain plug-in in the Monitor FX Chain. There is also a second option by using Blue Cat's gain plug.
The unique thing about Blue Cat's free Gain suite is that it has its own control grouping path. So I'm showing how putting a dummy Gain plug in the Master channel itself (I unchecked its routing pins). By grouping them, I can use the dummy to control the Monitor gain.)

PS: sorry about the download gif. It was a little too large to put on Imageshack.
