Default 2.3pre bug still present in 2.4pre1

I am refering to this thread
http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=22696
but since we should discuss these issues on this platform I will continue here.

I investigated the problem further and noticed that the problem starts when Reaper is stopped. I didn't see it at first but I was playing in loop mode. Suddenly I noticed that only in the second loop the cpu % increased. Then I quit Reaper, opened again and played in normal mode. Everything went fine until I stopped play, then the increase started again. So, then I thought that it has something to do with either the loop setting or that the stop instruction causes it. But that didn't work consistent either.

After some further research I found that moving the cursor backwards is the source. I don't know the technical reasoning but that is consistent.
The phenomenon occurs:
- at the second loop
- when I place the cursor to the beginning of the file before doing anything else

The phenomenon does not occur:
- when I move the cursor forward
- start, pause, start

Also I take it you have "run fx when stopped" enabled? Or maybe I'm confused.. is it eating it while playing or while stopped?

Can you post a project that does it?

Thanks..

I hope this went well. Attached is a zip with a sample project. You need the Wavearts Panorama plugin, though.

I have no problems with 2.2. Problems started with 2.3pre1.

huh..?!? g*ddamn! you're right. I only see that now. Does that make a big difference? Sorry I didn't notice this before
And no, 2.206 gives no problems.

Good luck solving this riddle.
