Default question about reaper?

I just got reaper, and so far I like it quite a bit, but frequently when I record a second track it moves its self out of alignment. (if that makes sense)

I will play to my previously recorded track, and then on playback its out of sync. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if anyone knows how to correct that?

thanks...

Check out the tutorial movies to get yourself set up.
This is a commen problem that is fixed in your preference set up.
Are you using the ASIO drivers?
What you are expierenceing is called latency(use the search engine under that topic)
Good luck and by the way this is a KICK ASS program!!!!!!

Are you using ASIO drivers? The others does not report their latency to Reaper.

Are you using a soundblaster? This is a pretty common problem with soundblasters, which are less than ideal for recording. They are really for playing video games, etc. That said, with Asio4All, they usually seem to work reasonably well.
