Default Using different DAWs with NINJAM...on a Mac?

I've seen a lot of ways to get Reason/other VSTi plugins to work with NINJAM, but they all require REAPER. Is there a way to do this on the Mac, since we don't have REAPER yet?

Is your REAPER Mac beta version not useable yet for ninjam?

Ah, thanks a lot! I had no idea that an OS X version had been released.

However, does the Mac version have ReaRoute installed? And if so, how do I get it working? The ReaRoute options don't exist.

i tried this with macReaper and it seems to work:

install soundflower from http://www.cycling74.com

in reaper preferences make soundflower your input (no output)
in ninjam make soundflower your output

that should do it.

hope this helps.

I take it you are using the Mac standalone Ninjam?

We Windows Reaper users have a plugin version of Ninjam that comes bundled with Reaper, it's called ReaNINJAM and solves all the hassles associated with routing audio between applications.

You'll have to check if ReaNINJAM comes with MacReaper as I can't test it to verify..

Good that you found a Max/MSP solution though, should be useful to some!

yah - it's the standalone for now - and not sure if a plugin will be part of the official MacReaper release.

an alternative to soundflower is JackOSX

haven't tested it yet but I think it should work well.
